In February we had our fist couples luncheon held at historic Yorktown in a super cool 1800's building which now has a wonderful little restaurant called "The Carrot Tree." We were in the "upper room" and did "get to know you" games and lunch followed by a sharing out of the Word by Pastor Tom.

Major Stephen "Jack" Murray Retires from U.S.A.F.

I was blessed and honored to be a part of Jack's retirement ceremony this past month. Jeanne and I attended the retirment ceremony held at Langley Air Base here in Virginia. Langley also hosts NASA on the base. It was very cool to go on the base and see all there is there...it's like a city!
I was asked by Jack to perform the benediction over the ceremony...in attendance were those who Jack had served with over his 25 years in the Air Force. It was such a blessing to see and be a part of this very important life-event for Jack and his family, Barbara his wife and Morgan their daughter.
Pictured are Jack and his family and Brigadier General Raaberg presiding over the ceremony and presenting Jack with many plaques and citations.
Jeanne and I were also blessed at the increadible respect and reverence to our Nations Flag. The ceremony surrounding Jack's retirement was very moving...Jack ended the ceremony by blessing us on his violin playing "Amazing Grace." Jack plays on the worship team at CC Willimsburg...We "salute" you Major "Jack" for faithfully serving our country and standing steadfast to the call. We also are thankful for Barbara, and Morgan who "hung in there" during those times of deployment and silence from many missions.
God bless you guys and our U.S. Military!

Roger Oakland Comes to Calvary Chapel Williamsburg!

In January we hosted at CC Newport News Roger Oakland. It was a blessing to hook up yet again with Roger as he did an all-day Saturday Seminar on "Signs of the Times."
Many people came as we had radio spots of advertising through the radio ministry of Pastor Tony Clark... "Word Made Plain"
We offered a free catered "off the charts" luncheon which blessed everyone....
Roger gave great biblical insight to the "signs of the times" and the world around us. He also spoke on real-life issues before the church such as..."The Emergant Church", "The Orgins of Man" and many more....we were also blessed to have Roger give a timely message before the body at CC Williamsburg on Sunday.
Needless to say...we were all blessed!
We hope to have Roger out again soon to encourage, equip, and educate us all.

A Visit a Smithsonian Institution: National Air and Space Museum
We had an opportunity to visit a Smithosian Institute of the National Air and Space Museum.
This was an increadible experience as there were many airplanes from the Wright Brothers to modern day planes. One of the most interesting was seeing the Enola Gay, as you recall this is THE plane which dropped THE bomb in Japan. We often don't think these planes are still around...but here they all are!
