On Sunday mornings the CCK have been going through a special series called "Stars of Christmas" and each week focuses on a different "star" in the Nativity Story. It has been fun way to retell a story they have all heard before. We have turned it into a "Red Carpet Premiere" experience. Giving the kids a front row pass to seeing each Nativity Star on the Red Carpet and hear about how they played a role in the birth of Jesus and then apply back to their own lives and how they too can be like the "star".
Week 1 we focused on Mary and her arrival on the Red Carpet was very exciting for the kids!
Mary spoke about her fears of being a young girl and being called to such a high calling of giving birth to the King. She was bold in sharing "ALL things are POSSIBLE through Jesus Christ who strengthens you."
We also got to watch the movie about the Nativity Story.
CCK worshiping before our 2nd week "stars" arrive on the Red Carpet. I just love to see young children raise their hands and voices in adoration for their Savior!
Who would appear on the Red Carpet this week..none other then the Shepherds who saw the star and followed it far for a chance to see baby Jesus! They reminded us how honored they were to be able to witness the baby Jesus and how they bowed and worshiped Him, then went and told everyone about what they had seen. The kids were taught that they too like the shepherds have been called to go and tell the Good News!
The kids enjoyed their skit!
We have some amazing teachers here at CCW who have such a passion and desire to not only minister the love of Jesus to the kids but to also help bring it alive, so the kids get a great experience and get excited about growing in the things of Jesus!
Don't miss this Sunday Dec. 26th as we finish up the Red Carpet arrivals with the Wise men and celebrate the birth of Jesus!
