6:15 pm Hurricane Irene Update

6:15 Update from the City of Williamsburg Emergency Operations Center

As of 6:00pm, the City’s Emergency Operations Center reports that 7.5 inches of rain have fallen in the City since midnight on Friday, Aug. 26.

By 6:00p.m. the City should be entering into another band of heavy rain.

Currently 1,421 residents are without power. If you’ve lost power call Dominion at 866-366-4357.

If you see a downed wire please keep a safe distance and call 259-7200.

Please stay off the roads. Crews are at work in the City clearing fallen trees.

The City Shelter is open at 202 Quarterpath Road. For information call 259-7200.
