As we lead the children into the presence of Jesus each week, it is our hearts desire that they would begin to learn and stand in their beliefs in the Lord as well as to memorize and ponder God's word in their hearts! We gave all the kids a 12 week challenge to memorize all 12 weeks worth of memory verses and then they would get to participate in drowning Ms. Heidi and Ms. Jenice in their favorite ice cream toppings!
Lots of the kids did really good...learning lots of memory verses, however, these 4 kids (From left to right; Logan, Nathaniel, Abby and Romar) faithfully took to heart the challenge and memorized ALL 12 verses :) They were so excited when it came time to turn their Children's Ministry Leader and Teacher into "Teacher Sundaes"... they choose chocolate, strawberry and caramel syrup, whip cream, m&m's and sprinkles!!!
We were a little nervous!!!!
I was thinking this will be easy they will run out before they get to me :) Lol... Poor Miss Jenice!
Ooops...looks like they will get both of us!!!
Ms. Jenice and I were so blessed because they were really well behaved and polite as they covered us in lots of stickiness!!!
All this is WAY worth it if it means a child's life will be transformed by the Word of God they store in their hearts! Also it is fun to see the kids get excited and to see first hand that their is great JOY and FUN in the things of the Lord!! The new CHALLENGE!!! Starting next Sunday...the kids who memorize all 12 of the next weeks memory verses will be able to participate in throwing water balloons at Ms. Heidi and Ms. Jenice....WOOOHOOO

Logan has never pushed himself so hard or been so proud of himself, we are super proud of him too! And we are so grateful for you guys to put yourself thru a mess just to bless each of these kids and to help them learn God's word.
God's word will be in their hearts for the rest of their lives! I know it has changed Logan and blessed him greatly and he is already so excited for the next challenge and encouraging cyrenity to try harder this time :)
