"My family and I moved to Williamsburg Virginia after serving in Southern California for 13 years. We began to serve God's people at Calvary Chapel and the Lord took hold of our hearts and led us to Virginia. We heeded God and moved upon His calling on our lives. The Lord directed us to Williamsburg, and since then He has established Calvary Chapel here in the most historic area of the United States! We are very blessed and humbled to be here and used by God." -Pastor Tom Hallman

Pick Kindness "Always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else." 1 Thessalonian 5:15
On our last day of VBS...we taught the kids to pick Kindness! It was lots of fun they learned about the good Samaritan. We took rice and oatmeal and grind it down to make flour..and then we made biscuit dough that the kids were encouraged to take home and bake and share with someone else. It was lots of fun! During the three days of VBS we saw the kids as little as 3 years old pray for each other and learn bible verses and get excited about dancing and singing worship songs! We ended the VBS with a fair in our church parking lot.We had games and a prize booth and the kids were so excited when the Chick - Fil- A cow showed up and surprised them...Thank you to Chick-Fil-A who donated not only their cow but happy meals and ice cream cones to all our kids...also a special thank you to Calvary Newport News who donated their fruit of the spirit games to our fair! The VBS was our first at CCW and was a huge success and so much fun to watch our kids really grow and develop in the fruits of the spirit! We look forward to next years VBS!
