Produce Patience - "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2

We were truly BLESSED with another great day at VBS! It is so much fun to watch the kids get so into all the different activities and to know that at each one they are being taught the word of God. They are doing so well...we are amazed at how they each know their memory verses when they came back today. Today we learned how a father's patience pays off in Luke 15:11-24. We continued the theme throughout each center. In the game square they played relays and they had to take a sponge and soak up the water from a bucket and run to the milk jug and squeeze the sponge out into the jug and run back and pass the sponge to their next teammate and continue until the milk jug was completely filled, they had so much fun with this game. Then in the Farm Exhibit they got to take turns to milk a rubber glove (cow's utters) and learned that pulling and squeezing takes lots of time to get a little squirt of milk...then they got to pour heavy cream into baby food jars and shake them until they made butter...which ends up taking about 15 minutes....what patience this take :) But what a rich reward when they saw their butter and got to take it home! In the craft Center they made little greenhouses and planted popcorn seeds...how much fun it will be to wait and see the corn sprout a plant! All the groups did a great job in wearing their team colors today; the Loving Lambs wore yellow, the Cool Cucumbers wore blue, and the Awesome Apples wore green!
Tomorrow we finish up our VBS with Kindness and Crazy Hair ;) We anticipate the Joy God will bring tomorrow!
